How To Draw Face- Lips

How to Draw Face

Lips

Step 1 - Then we move to the lips. If you notice, almost always, the upper lip is darker, so you can use a 3b to apply the tone. But pay attention, that the lip is always dark at the tips and as gets closer to the middle, gets lighter, then go maneirando in shading. The darker parts of the upper lip are the outer edges.

For the lower lip, which is lighter, use the pencil B at the ends and spread to the lightest with stump. I start by placing a uniform layer of graphite B down. Below the lower lip, there is a shadow, not to ignore!

How to draw Face- Cheeks

How to draw Face

Cheeks

Step 1 - Now work the cheek. To set the tone, you can use a pencil 3B or 4B for darker parts, and then spread to the stump for the lightest, using only dirt graphite from its tip. The important thing to remember is that almost everything in a drawing is done with gradients, light shades flowing in darker shades and vice versa. From what you can see, in general, the tones are becoming clearer as we approach the center of the "apples" of the face.

Step 2 - After the chin, again use the 3B for the darker shades such as jaw and edges and spread with the stump to the lightest. If the subject is smiling as is the case in my reference, there are folds in the skin, which will have a very sharp contrast tone. These folds will be darker.

Make sure you're doing all the jaw area darker than the highlights on both cheeks and nose. My light source is coming from above, and this causes a shadow under the nose. These shadows will always depend on where the light source comes! You can use this area in the shade a pencil 3B.

Step 3 - It is important, as you go down the design on the face, the hair follow the face, as if to leave any hair then you will have to rest your hand on the face now ready, and will cause loss of design quality! Nor do the hair too, at the risk of having to rest your hand on the hair done, when you continuing the design of the face.

Sometimes people complain that their designs are not clean, they are filled with blots, and the reason is this: Support the upper hand in places where graffiti has been applied.

Now I'm far enough with the hair on the left side and I can go back to work in the face.
Tip - The eraser pen is a useful tool to work on the hair. You can use it to put out small fly-away, adding detail and realism to the design.

Step 4 - We went back to work in the area of the jaw and mouth, on the right side this time. We start at the bottom, the part with darker shades along the jawline, and not forgetting to accentuate the laugh lines and dimples. Continuing, do the same at other times, with a stump go subtly shading and keeping the light-dark gradient between the parties!

How To Draw Face- Nose

How to draw Face

Nose

Step 1 - The nose can be a trouble for many artists, especially for beginners. Just try to remember that the nose is nothing more than another part of the face formed by different tones, representing the contour and depth of the scheme. You can start with the shading of the bridge of the nose with graphite H. It is quite possible that there is a subtle highlight on his nose, and it stands out even more, you can darken a bit more than usual on your back. Then shade making the bridge B graphite, leaving slightly darker than the area of the tip. Make a subtle gradient to the outer edges of the nose and cheek. If an area of shading seems to stop abruptly, you need to improve this degrading tone, you can do this with a stump.

How To Draw Face- Forehead

How to Draw Face

Forehead

Step 1 - Whenever I start working on a face, the first thing I do is identify where the lighter areas are. When you find these areas do risk very lightly demarcating their position. These highlights are usually found on the forehead, cheeks, tip of the nose, lower lip and chin. See the highlights was made clear forehead, now do not forget that the rest has to be darker than these highlights you highlighted.

Now with H pencil, slightly risque sequence and pass the stump to leave uniform. If you do not see the other part darker than your highlights, it's because you still have to darken a little more. After doing this, will always forming a gradient shading in the shadows, making a bridge between the clear part and the dark part

Tip - You can apply the technique of shading in circles and so get a good appearance to the skin. If you have very dark at some points, you can remove excess graphite using a clean rubber types, you make a ball with it, pressing it lightly and goes fast moving up the graffiti.

Step 2 - If you look at the drawing below, veras I left the highlight of light evident with the dark shading around her, which becomes darker as the light moves away. The shading around the scalp is important, if not the design will look like the hair is not the person who is badly placed a wig! Besides this shading around the part with hair, you have to give much attention to the small wires that stand out in the hair root, and small wires rebels who insist on staying loose out of your mecha!

Tip - Take breaks when you are drawing. Sometimes when you look at something for a long time your mind starts to play tricks on you. Work on your drawing for a few hours, take a break and come back later with fresh eyes. Thus although that sends you up laziness that is telling you to do it faster without much whim! SRSR

How To Draw Face- Eyes

How To Draw Face

Eyes

Step 1 - First set the outline with a pencil 3B. Make Iris with pencil at graduation as the tone of the eye. One of the things that is important for the eye to be very realistic is that you pass the stump hitting tones in ires (this process is very delicate). Usually there will be bright highlights in the eyes and shade around them and you can never ignore it. If you want you can make the highlights bigger they are, will look cool. And you better make larger, and need to decrease than to increase small and if you need, you will not get. I always darker tone around these highlights of light to improve contrast. This makes the eyes appear more shine.

Then darken under the upper eyelid. This indicates a shadow eyelid. I also dark center of the eye.

Important: The "white" of the eyes are not really white. You should slightly darken with dirt that already exists at the tip of your stump. The white of the eye should be darker than the highlights of light in the drawing. There will be a shadow of the upper eyelid as well. Pay attention to the tone of the reference photo. The answers are there, you just need to see them and assimilate.

sketch

First you need to make the basic outline of the drawing. Contour with soft features, it is more practical and not run the risk of damaging the drawing as happens when we trace strong, and we can not cover or erase sponge sponge cake completely. For this contour, you can use the HB pencil, because it is neither too dark nor too light so you also have difficulty viewing. This step is very important and it is critical that already establishes a similarity in sketchy drawing.

Pencil

First of all let's talk about pencils. There are several types of pencils of different pigments. The pigment may be colored, carbon or graphite. I'll be talking about graphite in this case. Graphite pencils are available in many different classes ranging from 9B (softest) to 9H (hardest). Graffiti soft clay therefore have less darker graphites hard (Hard) have more clay and are lighter than graffiti B. Below is a chart which illustrates the various grades of graphite.

There are many different brands of pencils. I use staedtler. For most of my designs I use only the following 5 degrees, 4B, 3B, B, HB, 2H. Anything harder than a 2H graphite will probably damage your paper, ruining the fibers.

Sometimes when I'm drawing I need a more precise tool, then use a mechanical pencil with HB and 3B graffiti that make all the difference in the final finish.

Paper

I think the role is as important as the pencil. In the years that I've been drawing that I tested with different types and brands. I have a few favorite types. One is the Drawing Canson 200gr. It has a grainy texture, no bleach, acid free neutral pH, treated against fungi and bacteria, has a very consistent surface, perfect for drawing.

Mixing the graphite

I use some graphite mixture, when I'm drawing. My favorites are the stump and use a tissue. The stump is a roll of paper, pressed into cylindrical shape with pointed ends, it is used specifically for the purpose of obtaining esfumado.Existe esfuminhos various sizes that you can use according to your drawing.

Already the tissue is indicated for mild gradients, getting a good finish in the final design

Rubber

There are different types of rubber allocated to each situação.As main ones are:

Rubber plastic: Use for strong lines and where there is not much detail.

Clean-types: Your body is completely malleable. Absorbs graphite avoiding blur the drawing.

Pen eraser: To work with small details and shine to hair.
