Pencil

Graphite pencils are available in many different classes ranging from 9B (softest) to 9H (hardest). Paper

I think the role is as important as the pencil. In the years that I've been drawing that I tested with different types and brands. I have a few favorite types. One is the Drawing Canson 200gr. It has a grainy texture, no bleach, acid free neutral pH, treated against fungi and bacteria, has a very consistent surface, perfect for drawing.
